Synopsis:-

Holo is a powerful wolf deity who is revered in the small town of Pasloe for blessing the annual harvest. Yet as years go by and the villagers become more self-sufficient, Holo has been reduced to a mere folktale. When a traveling merchant named Kraft Lawrence stops at the settlement, Holo offers to become his business partner if he takes her to her northern home of Yoitsu. The savvy trader recognizes Holo’s unusual ability to evaluate a person’s character and accepts her proposition.
Now in the possession of both sharp bargaining skills and a charismatic negotiator, Lawrence inches closer to his goal of opening his own shop. However, as Lawrence travels the countryside with Holo in search of economic opportunities, he begins to realize that his aspirations are slowly morphing into something unexpected.

Lawrence, a traveling merchant, approaches the village of Pasloe with his cargo of marten furs and winter wheat from Yorenz. A knight stationed at a nearby monastery warns him of possible pagan activities in Pasloe. Lawrence, familiar with its harvest festival, is unfazed. He arrives just in time to greet Chloe, his former student, and to see her get selected to represent Holo, the legendary wolf deity central to the festival’s traditions. Lawrence converses with the village chief, who proudly hints at more prosperity for Pasloe in the near future.
Preparing to camp in the fields surrounding the village, Lawrence is surprised to find in his wagon a naked girl claiming to be Holo. In disbelief, he asks her for proof, so the girl partially returns to her wolf form before disappearing. Unsettled, Lawrence returns to Pasloe to spend the night and is invited by Chloe for drinks. She asks to become his business partner and hints at a romantic interest, but he declines, telling her that she is too young to make such a risky move.
Later that night, Lawrence meets Holo again and learns that she escaped Pasloe to return to her homeland of Yoitsu in the distant north. Lawrence cautiously agrees to let her accompany him on his travels, hoping that her presence will bring him good luck in business.

However, the harvest wasn’t good, and this infuriated the villagers as they blamed the wolf for eating and destroying all their crops. It was shown that every year, the villagers try to catch the wolf sleeping in the last bundle of wheat. This almost became a ritual to ensure the following year’s harvest was fruitful.
After this prologue-like sequence, the episode shifts to the series’ present timeline. The protagonist, Kraft Lawrence, is introduced. He is a lonely merchant who approaches a village with his cargo full of marten furs and winter wheat. On his way, he meets a knight who informs him about the pagan activities in a nearby village.
He gets to see the famous harvest festival. Lawrence’s childhood friend, Yarei, is selected to represent the Goddess of Harvest, Holo. The scene then shifts to Lawrence meeting the village chief, who expresses his optimism and feels that the village will see more prosperity in the coming years.
A merchant named Lawrence encounters Holo, a girl with the ears and tail of a wolf. An ancient goddess who longs to return to her northern home, she joins Lawrence in his travels.
